One of the most useful services we provide for our customers is skip hire. It’s often the case during a domestic refurbishment or perhaps even a commercial renovation, that a skip will be needed to dispose of waste. Of course, there are many other occasions where a skip will be required when disposing of waste.
At Rabbit Group, we’re proud to offer a range of commercial skip hire and residential skip hire options for our clients. There’s no job too small or too big in our philosophy, and that’s why we offer a fantastic range of skips.
We offer mini-skips that are perfectly suited to garden waste, which is perfect for small scale residential landscaping projects. We also offer industrial container-sized skips that are capable of dealing with the substantial amount of waste created during demolitions.
Whatever your requirements, you won’t need to worry. If you’re not sure, we’d be happy to help you decide which skip size is the right one for your needs. Of course, you need to make sure that provisions are made for where the skip can be placed – as they can only be placed in certain areas.
Most people using skips in a residential setting will put their skip in their driveways or on a piece of land which is part of the property. This is not always possible however, for example when access is required to the land – but it is legal to place a skip on a public highway or verge where this is not possible.
There are some complications to this; you need to have a pre-applied Highway Permit from the local Council Authority. This also entails the use of the correct signing and lights to make the placement of the skip safe for pedestrians and other road users.
Getting a permit takes up to four working days, so you should make allowances for this. Also, if you require a permit for your skip then please be aware that we cannot deliver the skip until the permit has been obtained.
Overall, we’re proud to offer an excellent range of skips for our clients and offer them the advantages of our green methods of disposal once they’re collected. If you’re interested in any of our services, or you would like to know more, please feel free to contact us – we’d be happy to help.
